Our Greatest Assets”

Charlottesville,
the hometown of the University of Virginia (UVA) was the site of the
third state conference, where 205 participants gathered to focus on
the theme “Neighborhoods: Our Greatest Assets.”
The Conference began with an “Old Fashion” style Town Hall
Meeting which provided neighborhood activist an opportunity to share
neighborhood successes and challenges as well as pass on their experiences
in solving issues. Featured speakers included William R. Morrish, Architect
in Urban Design and author of Planning To Stay and William Curtis Randolph,
Neighborhood and Leisure Services Director with the City of Norfolk.
